Getting started

Is AsaaseYaa free?

Yes. The advice, reminders, community and market listings are free.

Which phones does it work on?

Android phones, from the Google Play Store. An iPhone version is coming.

Can I use it in Twi?

Yes. Pick Twi when you open the app, or switch at any time in Settings.

Which crops does it cover?

Maize, cassava, tomato, pepper, rice, soybean, yam, plantain and okra.

Using the app

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Today, Care and the job steps work offline. Your ticks are saved on the phone and sent when you are back online.

Where does the advice come from?

From crop guides for Ghana, checked by agronomists. It is general advice; for a serious problem, ask an agronomist.

Can I grow more than one crop?

Yes. On Today, tap Add crop. Switch between crops at the top of Today.

How do I change my crop or planting date?

Profile, then Settings, then My farm, or tap Edit on your crop.

How do I get a daily reminder?

Profile, then Settings, then Notifications. Turn on the daily reminder and choose the time.

Your account

Why save my phone number?

So your farm, streak and posts come back if you lose or change your phone.

I changed phones. How do I get my farm back?

Install the app on the new phone and sign in with the same phone number. Your farm, streak and posts come back.

Can I lock the app?

Yes. Profile, then Settings, then Sign-in & security: turn on the fingerprint lock.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile, then Settings, then Delete my account. Or send a request from our Delete my account page.

Community and market

How do I sell my produce?

Open Market and tap Sell something. Buyers see your listing and call you. There are no fees.

Someone posted something rude or wrong. What do I do?

Tap Report on the post and say what is wrong. Our team looks at every report. You can also block that farmer.
